Griz, Lumberjacks Face Off for Big Sky Title on Saturday

Montana makes its first appearance in the championship final since 2018 and looks to capture the program's first tournament title since 2014

PHOENIX (April 25, 2025) – No. 1 seed Northern Arizona and No. 3 seed Montana advanced past their semifinal foes on Friday at the Phoenix Tennis Center, as the squads set up a Saturday showdown in the 2025 Big Sky Men's Tennis Championship Final. 

Top seed NAU took down fourth-seeded Idaho, 4-1, while third-seeded Montana upended second-seeded Idaho State, 4-1. 

NAU makes Its third-straight trip to the championship final, but is seeking its first tournament crown since 2021. Montana makes its first appearance in the championship final since 2018 and looks to capture the program's first tournament title since 2014. 

Saturday's match will mark the first meeting ever between NAU and Montana in the championship final since it began in 1993.

The winner of Saturday's championship match will receive an automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament, with the field officially being announced on Monday, April 28 on NCAA.com.
