LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (April 12, 2025) – The 2025 edition of the Big Sky Conference Women’s Golf Championship will be played from Monday, April 14 to Wednesday, April 16 at The Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, Arizona.

The championship will be played on the Wigwam’s Blue Course, which will feature the same layout the league played a season ago.

Defending Champions

The Sacramento State Hornets enter play this week as the two-time defending Big Sky champs, winning the title in both 2023 and 2024. Sac State has claimed four of the previous five available Big Sky titles, with NAU breaking up the five-peat in 2021.

The Hornets are currently the No. 52 team in the country, with an average team score of 291 through 27 rounds of action. They finished as tournament runner-up twice during the season, both at the Causeway Invitational and the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational.

Last season the Hornets won this event by 14 strokes, as they shot a 2-under 850 (282, 282, 286) over the three rounds of action. That 54-hole score was the lowest in Big Sky Championship history.

Returning Individual Champ

The defending individual champion, Lizzie Neale of Northern Arizona, is back to defend her title at The Wigwam. Last season she shot a 10-under 203 (71, 68, 64) to secure the title by four strokes. Her total score was the lowest in Big Sky Championship history.

Her third round 64 was also the lowest single round in Big Sky Conference Championship history.

Three-Time Tournament Champ

This past week Montana State’s Lauren Greeny claimed individual medalist honors for the third time this season, becoming just the second Bobcat ever to do so.

Greeny claimed the title at the Eagle Invitational, the Grand Canyon Invitational and the Bobcat Desert Classic. She won Montana State’s tournament in a playoff.
