FARMINGTON, Utah (Jan. 7, 2025) – With the first weekend on league play in the books, the Big Sky Conference has announced its weekly award winners for women’s and men’s basketball.
Big Sky Women's Player of the Week (Jan. 7, 2025)
Co-Player of the Week: Sophie Glancey, Northern Arizona (F, Jr., Boise, Idaho)
Sophie Glancey helped NAU start Big Sky play 2-0 for the first time since 2020-21 with road wins over Idaho State and Weber State, beating WSU for the 14th-straight time. At Idaho State, she scored 18 points and added nine rebounds to go with a career-high four assists to lead the team, two steals and a block. She shot 5-of-14 from the field but was 7-for-8 at the free throw line and 1-for-4 from three-point range. At Weber State, she scored 21 points and added a career-high 14 rebounds for her ninth double-double of the season, shooting 64.3% (9-14) from the field and was 3-for-3 at the free throw line. The junior also added an assist, a block, and two steals. On the week, she averaged 19.5 points and 11.5 rebounds while adding 2.5 assists, 2.0 steals,1.0 blocks per game, shot 50 percent from the field (14-28), and 90.9 percent from the free throw line (10-11) Glancey now has nine double-doubles on the year and ranks first in the league in scoring and blocks and is second in rebounding.
Co-Player of the Week: Fatoumata Jaiteh, Sacramento State (F, Jr., Lynwood, Wash.)
Sac State junior
Fatoumata Jaiteh powered the Hornets to an overtime victory at Portland State to tip-off the Big Sky season, finishing with a collegiate high of 28 points to go with four rebounds, a block, and two steals. Jaiteh finished 6-of-7 from the field overall and 16-for-19 from the free throw line, starting 6-of-6 from the field before missing her first shot in OT. The 28 points doubled-up her previous collegiate high of 14 points set at Montana while playing at Northern Arizona on Jan. 5, 2023, and demolished her previous Sac State career high of 10 points set against Cal State Fullerton and matched against UC Davis earlier this year. 24 of her 28 points came in the second half and overtime as the Hornets erased an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit, making all of her field goals after the break and finishing 12-of-13 from the line (6-of-6 in the OT alone).

Big Sky Men's Player of the Week (Jan. 7, 2024)
Co-Player of the Week: Langston Reynolds, Northern Colorado (G, Jr., Denver, Colo.)
After helping his team defend home court and finish the weekend 2-0, Northern Colorado’s
Langston Reynolds has been named Co-Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Reynolds averaged 20.5 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, along with 13 assists in victories over Weber State and Idaho State. In UNC’s overtime victory over the Bengals, he had a 27-point outburst and dished out eight assists to lead the Bears. This marks his third weekly honor so far this season.
Co-Player of the Week: Money Williams, Montana (G, So., Oakland, Calif.)
Leading the Big Sky in scoring this past weekend and navigating his team on a 2-0 road swing to start league play, Montana’s
Money Williams has been named Co-Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Williams averaged 22.0 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game all while dishing out nine assist and securing seven steals. Against Idaho in Moscow, he scored the final six points of the game to give the Grizzlies a victory. This marks his second weekly honor from the Big Sky this season.
