Northern Arizona Picked to Win 2025 Big Sky Men’s Tennis Title

Lumberjacks tabbed by league coaches to win the league in 2025

FARMINGTON, Utah (Jan. 13, 2025) – For the sixth time in seven seasons, the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks were picked to win the Big Sky by league head coaches in Monday's 2025 Big Sky Men's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll. The preseason poll was voted on by the league's head coaches, who could not vote for their own team.

The Lumberjacks received 62 points in Monday's coaches' poll, while earning six first-place votes.

Northern Arizona returns two All-Big Sky First Team selections from a year ago, with Dani Torres and Jakub Prachar on the roster heading into the 2025 season.

NAU finished last season with a 17-7 overall record and 7-1 mark in Big Sky play, falling to Sacramento State in the tournament final in Phoenix a year ago.

Montana and Weber State collected the other remaining first-place votes, with each squad getting a top-vote each to sit second and third in the preseason poll. Last year’s tournament champion, Sacramento State, was tabbed sixth in the 2025 preseason poll.

The 2025 Big Sky Conference Men’s Tennis Championship will take place April 24-26 in Phoenix, Arizona. The single-elimination tournament will feature six teams, with the top two seeds receiving a bye into the semifinal round. The winner of the championship will receive the Big Sky's automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Men's Tennis Tournament.
