FARMINGTON, Utah (Dec. 31, 2024) – The Big Sky Conference announced weekly honors for women’s and men’s basketball with league play set to begin on Thursday.

Big Sky Women's Player of the Week (Dec. 31, 2024)

Player of the Week: Taylor Feldman, Northern Arizona (G, Jr., Tustin, Calif.) 
Northern Arizona’s Taylor Feldman has been named Big Sky Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. The California native scored 25 points on 8-of-12 from field at Grand Canyon for her third 20-plus point performance of the year. In the second quarter, she scored 17 of NAU’s 19 points after making a perfect 5-for-5 from the field, 3-for-3 from three-point range and 4-for-4 from the free throw line. On the day she was also 3-for-5 from three-point range and 6-for-6 at the line. Currently Feldman ranks second in the Big Sky with 16.0 points per game, fifth in field goal percentage (.430), and is fifth in assists with 3.4 per game.

Big Sky Men's Player of the Week (Dec. 31, 2024)

Player of the Week: Jacob Holt, Sacramento State (F, Sr., British Columbia, Canada)
With a double-double performance at home, Sacramento State’s Jacob Holt has been named Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Against Bethesda (CA), Holt had 21 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal. He was a +27 plus/minus in just 24 minutes. He shot 7-of-9 from the field, 3-for-5 from distance, and 4-of-6 from the free throw line. His points, rebounds, blocked shots, field goals made, and 3-pointers made were all game highs. The British Columbia, Canada, native had 18 first-half points and scored 10 points during Sacramento State’s early 20-3 first-half run. Holt has now led the team in scoring in seven straight, and nine of the last 10 games. He is averaging 16.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game while shooting 54 percent (68-126) from the field, 39 percent (20-51) from the 3-point line and 74 percent (56-76) from the free throw line. Among Big Sky leaders, he ranks sixth in scoring and fifth in both rebounding and field goal percentage.
