FARMINGTON, Utah (January 4, 2022) – Following a road sweep in league play, Eastern Washington’s Linton Acliese III has been named ROAR Organic Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the first time of his career.
The redshirt senior from Richmond, California averaged 22.5 points per game against Portland State and Northern Arizona, including a 30-point performance in Flagstaff. He also pulled down an average of nine rebounds per game, along with dishing out five total assists.
On top of that, he had a very efficient two-game stretch as he shot 61 percent from the field.
Acliese transferred to EWU from San Francisco State and is currently seventh in the Big Sky by scoring average at 15.8 ppg.
He is the first Eastern Washington player this season to earn the #BigSkyMBB Player of the Week title.
