FARMINGTON, Utah (November 30, 2021) – Following an MVP caliber performance at the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off, Southern Utah’s John Knight III has been named ROAR Organic Big Sky Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Knight III paced the Thunderbirds in their victories over Yale and Bowling Green and had impressively efficient numbers while doing so.
The senior guard averaged 19 points per game, hitting that exact mark in both contests. Additionally, he pulled down five rebounds per contest and dished out five assists on average. He also tallied three steals and a block in the pair of matchups. The Jackson, Mississippi native shot 74 percent from the field for the tournament, as well as hit the game-winning free throws against Yale in overtime to seal that victory.
