LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (April 13, 2025) – On the eve of the 2025 Big Sky Conference Women’s Golf Championship, the league office has announced its 2024-25 All-Conference Team and Individual Award winners.
For the second-consecutive season, Sacramento State’s Sneha Sharan has been named Big Sky Conference Player of the Year. Claiming the title for the Hornets means the program has had the league’s Player of the Year every season since 2020.
Sharan is the No. 142 player all of NCAA Division I women’s golf, with a scoring average of 72.2 across 27 rounds of play. She secured five top-10 finishes during the course of the regular season, with a low score of 9-under at the Juli Inkster at the Meadow Club Invitational. Additionally, she was named Big Sky Golfer of the Week three times this season.
Claiming Freshman of the Year honors is Sacramento State’s Darla May Dela Torre. She becomes the eighth Hornet in Big Sky history to claim the title.
The freshman appeared in all 27 rounds for the Hornets, with a scoring average of 74.1. She secured three top-20 finishes during Sacramento State’s challenging schedule.
Additionally, the Hornets placed three student-athletes on the Big Sky’s All-Conference First Team, with Caitlin Maurice joining the individual award winners, and two on the Second Team as Ella Kraft and Tova Hatton each received the nod.
Northern Arizona placed two players on the Big Sky’s All-Conference First Team, with reigning tournament champion Lizzie Neale and 2023-24 Freshman of the Year Amy Hodgkins earning slots among the league’s best.
Montana State’s Lauren Greeny earned a spot the Big Sky’s First Team after claiming three individual victories during the course of the regular season, including this past week when she won the Bobcat Desert Classic in a playoff.
Rounding out the All-Big Sky First Team is Northern Colorado’s Timbre Shehee, who claimed three top-10 finishes this season and picked up two more top-15 showings.
