Northern Arizona Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Earn At-Large Bids to National Championship; Weber State’s Visser Qualifies Individually

At the 2025 Big Sky Conference Championships, the Lumberjacks swept both titles for the fifth time in as many years

FARMINGTON, Utah (Nov. 15, 2025) – The Big Sky Conference will be well represented at the 2025 NCAA Division I Cross Country National Championships, with two teams and one individual punching tickets to the biggest meet on the calendar.
 
Both of Northern Arizona’s programs earned at-large bids to the National Championship, which was announced today on the NCAA’s Selection Show. Both groups of Lumberjacks finished third at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championship in Salt Lake City yesterday.
 
At the 2025 Big Sky Conference Championships, the Lumberjacks swept both titles for the fifth time in as many years.  
 
For the third consecutive season, Weber State’s Peter Visser punched his ticket to Nationals, and did so yesterday with an eighth place individual finish in SLC.
 
The championship race will be at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri on Saturday, Nov. 22. It will be streamed live on ESPNU with the women's race at 8:20 a.m. ET and the men's race at 9:10 a.m. ET.
