Big Sky Announces 2022 Fall All-Academic Team

In total, 626 student-athletes were placed on the All-Academic Team, with 80 of those honorees earning a perfect 4.0 GPA

FARMINGTON, Utah (April 4, 2023) – The Big Sky Conference office has announced its 2022 Fall All-Academic Team honoring well over 600 student-athletes for their excellence academically and athletically.
 
“Being named to the All-Academic team is not a feat anyone should take lightly,” Big Sky Commissioner Tom Wistrcill said. “Competing at the highest level both on the field of play and in the classroom takes a lot of effort, and I’d like to pass along my most sincere congratulations to our 600-plus student-athletes that have earned this prestigious designation.” 
 
In total, 626 student-athletes were placed on the All-Academic Team, with 80 of those honorees earning a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team’s competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution. 
 
For cross country student-athletes, they must have participated in at least half of the team’s competitions or competed at the conference championship.
