#BigSkyWBB In Boise: Day Four Recap; Northern Arizona And Sacramento State Advance To Final Round

Sacramento State advances to the championship game for the first time in program history

BOISE, Idaho (March 7, 2023) – After finishing the regular season as fellow tri-champions, No. 1 seed Northern Arizona and No. 3 seed Sacramento State are now officially set to face each other in the final round of the 2023 Big Sky Women's Championship in Boise.

No. 1 Northern Arizona 74, No. 4 Eastern Washington 57

After taking down Eastern Washington in the semifinals, Northern Arizona has advanced to the championship game for the second year in a row. 

Senior, Regan Schenck led the team in points with 22 and also added on six assists and five rebounds. Forward, Sophie Glancey also had an impressive performance against the Eagles as she recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. 

This marks the second year that Northern Arizona has been set to play in the championship game as the Lumberjacks took on Montana State in the 2022 Big Sky Championship. 

Northern Arizona will play the No. 3 seed Sacramento State, who the Lumberjacks swept in the regular season. 

The game will tip-off at 3:00 p.m. MT and will air on ESPNU and ESPN+.

No. 3 Sacramento State 73, No. 7 Portland State 58

Sacramento State made program history on Tuesday as the Hornets have advanced to the Big Sky championship game for the first time, after knocking-off No. 7 seed Portland State. 

Isnelle Natabou recorded a double-double against the Vikings, which marks her second double-double performance of the tournament. Natabou led the team in points with 23 while senior Kahlaijah Dean put up 17 points and added seven rebounds.

Sacramento State is set to play the No. 1 seed Northern Arizona on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. MT. The game will air on ESPNU and ESPN+.
