FARMINGTON, Utah (August 4, 2025) – With a new season of basketball approaching later this year, the Big Sky Conference office announced the full women’s basketball league slate for the 2025-26 season. The Big Sky plays an 18-game double round-robin format, taking on every other conference opponent both at home and on the road.
The first weekend of conference play is set for Thursday, Jan. 1 and Saturday, Jan. 3, as all 10 Big Sky teams tipoff their league slates. The conference season will conclude on Monday, March 2, as teams shift their focus to the 2026 Big Sky Basketball Championships in Boise, Idaho beginning on Saturday, March 7.
The 2025 Big Sky Basketball Championships is slated for March 7-11 at Idaho Central Arena, as all 10 women's basketball teams compete for the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. Montana State won last year's women's regular season and tournament titles, as the Bobcats were the first Big Sky women's team in history to reach the 30-win mark.
The third-annual Big Sky-Summit Challenge will take place on Wednesday, December 3 and Saturday, December 6. Those matchups and the full schedule can be found
