BOISE, Idaho (March 10, 2022) – A full Thursday of 2022 Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Championship action is in the books, and the semifinals is set for Friday inside Idaho Central Arena.
No. 1 Montana State 83, No. 8 Sacramento State 61
The Bobcats had five players score in double-digits, led by 14 points from Xavier Bishop, and ran past the Sacramento State Hornets in the quarterfinals in Boise. Bryce Fowler also had an impressive performance for the Hornets, dropping in 20 points.

No. 4 Weber State 68, No. 5 Montana 56
Behind a double-double from Dillon Jones, the Wildcats of Weber State pushed Montana out of the Big Sky Tournament on Thursday.

No. 7 Portland State 77, No. 2 Southern Utah 65
In the only upset of the day, the Portland State Vikings knocked out the No. 2 seed as Southern Utah’s run in Boise came to an end.
For the Vikings, Khalid Thomas finished with 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting.

No. 3 Northern Colorado 68, No. 6 Eastern Washington 67
The contest that turned into the most exciting of the day, Northern Colorado held on to knock off Eastern Washington 68-67 despite a last-second attempt that looked like it might go in for the Eagles.
Matt Johnson II scored 24 points to pace the Bears, shooting 9-of-16 from the field.
