FARMINGTON, Utah (Sept. 12, 2021) - The Big Sky Conference put up points and impressive wins this past Saturday, as three teams stayed unbeaten over the weekend.
Two head coaches picked up their first collegiate wins as well this past Saturday, as Northern Colorado's Ed McCaffrey and Montana State's Brent Vigen earned their first of many wins.

VERMILLION, South Dakota (Sept. 11, 2021) - A slow start put the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks in too deep of a hole Saturday afternoon as the South Dakota Coyotes came away with a 34-7 victory.
UC Davis 53, San Diego 7

SAN DIEGO (Sept. 11, 2021) – Junior quarterback Hunter Rodrigues completed 22 of 37 passes for a career-high 322 yards and four aerial touchdowns while running for a 28-yard score of his own, leading No. 14/12 UC Davis to a 53-7 win over the University of San Diego at Torero Stadium Saturday afternoon. Rodrigues fired a pair of touchdown strikes to tight end McCallan Castles, plus scoring tosses of 21 and 39 yards to C.J. Hutton and Jared Harrell, respectively.
EWU 63, Central Washington 14

CHENEY, Washington (Sept. 11, 2021) - Eastern Washington jumped all over Central Washington on Saturday, as the Eagles raced past the visitors 63-14 to earn the team's 18th-straight win at Roos Field. Eric Barriere threw for 264 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eagles to their 11th-highest scoring game in program history.
Washington State 44, Portland State 24

Pullman, Washington (Sept. 11, 2021) – Washington State was not going to be caught off guard by the Vikings this time around. The Cougars defeated Portland State, 44-24, at Martin Stadium six years after the last meeting between the schools – one that ended in a PSU upset. Davis Alexander ended the game 27-of-49 passing for 293 yards, two scores and one interception. Beau Kelly had career highs of 10 catches for 152 yards and a score.
Indiana 56, Idaho 14

BLOOMINGTON, Indiana (Sept. 11, 2021) – Hayden Hatten caught 10 passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns and Charles Akanno notched three tackles for loss, including a sack, but a series of special teams miscues doomed Idaho football and the Vandals fell 56-14 on the road against Indiana.
Northern Colorado 45, Houston Baptist 13

HOUSTON (Sept. 11, 2021) - A complete team effort on offense, defense and special teams played a huge role in Northern Colorado's 45-13 domination of Houston Baptist on Saturday night. UNC picked up the first win of the season and first career win for head coach Ed McCaffrey. UNC racked up 391 yards on offense while holding HBU to 266.
Montana State 45, Drake 7

BOZEMAN, Montana (Sept. 11, 2021) - A little home cookin', the first in over 600 days, helped Montana State to a 45-7 win over Drake in a non-conference tilt at Bobcat Stadium on Saturday night. The Bobcats dominated the opening half, going up 24-0 before Drake scored just before halftime.

MISSOULA, Montana (Sept. 11, 2021) - The Montana Grizzlies gave head coach Bobby Hauck his 100th career win at UM in style, carrying the momentum from last week's historic win into a blowout 42-7 win over Western Illinois in front of a sold-out Washington-Grizzly Stadium. Cam Humphrey threw for five touchdowns and over 250 yards to lead the offense. The Grizzlies had 10 different receivers with a catch a pass and four with a score.
Northern Iowa 34, Sacramento State 16

SACRAMENTO, California (Sept. 11, 2021) — Sacramento State rallied to take a two-point lead into halftime but No. 15 Northern Iowa responded with 27-unanswered points in the third quarter on the way to a 34-16 victory at Hornet Stadium on Saturday night. Asher O'Hara threw for 338 yards while completing 32-of-53 passes but did have three interceptions. O'Hara was also the team's leading rusher with 55 yards on the ground.
Fresno State 63, Cal Poly 10

FRESNO, California (Sept. 11, 2021) - Jake Haener passed for 380 yards and four touchdowns in less than three full quarters to lead Fresno State to a 63-10 victory over Cal Poly in the renewal of a 99-year rivalry Saturday night inside Bulldog Stadium. Spencer Brasch completed 18-of-33 passes for 212 yards and one score.
Weber State 41, Dixie State 3

ST. GEORGE, Utah (Sept. 11, 2021) - Playing for the first time ever in St. George, 10th-ranked Weber State scored 34 unanswered points in the second half and rolled to a 41-3 win at Dixie State late Saturday night at Greater Zion Stadium. Dontae McMillan had 16 carries for a career-high 151 yards rushing and one touchdown.
Nevada 49, Idaho State 10

RENO, Nevada (Sept. 11, 2021) - The Idaho State football team lost 49-10 to the University of Nevada of the Mountain West Conference on Saturday night at Mackay Stadium. Idaho State had 283 yards of total offense while Nevada tallied 586. The Bengals had 141 yards rushing and 142 passing.
