FARMINGTON, Utah (Oct. 17, 2021) - Upsets and broken records headline Week 7 action in Big Sky football as only five Saturdays remain in the regular season.
Eric Barriere led Eastern Washington to a 71-21 victory over Idaho, as the Eagle quarterback passed for 600 yards and seven touchdowns while running in another score. The 600 yards passing were the fourth-most ever for a game in Big Sky history and eighth-most in FCS history.
Sacramento State upset Montana on the road to stay perfect in league play, with the victory being the first-ever for the football program in Missoula.
Montana State also kept their perfect conference record intact, as the Bobcats won a ranked showdown at Weber State on Friday night that aired on ESPNU.

OGDEN, Utah (Oct. 15, 2021) – No. 9 Montana State held No. 18 Weber State to just 54 yards rushing as the Bobcats earned a 13-7 Friday night victory over the Wildcats on ESPNU. Quarterback Matthew McKay scored MSU's only touchdown of the game on a one-yard sneak, while Blake Glessner added a pair of field goals. On defense, Daniel Hardy finished the game with three sacks, as two came on Weber State's final drive.

CHENEY, Washington (Oct. 16, 2021) – No. 2 Eastern Washington continued the program's best start in FCS history, as the Eagles flew past visiting Idaho 71-21 to improve to 7-0 on the year. Eric Barriere broke program records with his 600 yards passing and eight total touchdowns. The win also gave EWU its 20th-straight victory at Roos Field.
Sac State 28, Montana 21

MISSOULA, Montana (Oct. 16, 2021) – Sacramento State scored on its first possession of the game, never trailed and made the defensive stops when needed in a 28-21 win over No. 5 Montana on Saturday at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. The win was the first for the Hornets in 13 games in Missoula. Jake Dunniway passed for 227 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Hornets in the 28-21 victory.
NAU 59, Southern Utah 35

FLAGSTAFF, Arizona (Oct. 16, 2021) – Northern Arizona defeated Southern Utah 59-35 as the Lumberjacks retained possession of the Grand Canyon Trophy. NAU racked up 721 yards of total offense against the Thunderbirds, with freshman quarterback RJ Martinez accounting for most of that. Martinez passed for 417 yards and five scores while adding 65 yards on the ground and two touchdowns.
Portland State 31, Idaho State 10

PORTLAND, Oregon (Oct. 16, 2021) – Portland State defeated visiting Idaho State on Saturday, as the Vikings rolled over the Bengals 31-10. Davis Alexander passed for three scores and 179 yards, while Malik Walker rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown. The Viking defense held ISU to 259 yards and forced five turnovers.
UC Davis 32, Northern Colorado 3

DAVIS, California (Oct. 16, 2021) – UC Davis used an explosive 211-yard performance on the ground, including 104 yards from Ulonzo Gilliam Jr., while Trent Tompkins rushed for a pair of touchdowns to pick up a 32-3 win against Northern Colorado. The Aggies jumped out to a 25-0 start before UNC scored a late field goal in the fourth quarter.
