The Big Sky Conference has hired Meghan Robinson as the league’s new Director of Broadcast & Digital Media, Commissioner Tom Wistrcill announced on May 28, 2024.

“The opportunity and ability to promote and communicate about the Big Sky is more important than ever, and it remains a priority for our team in the conference office to include a reporter and on-air host adept at telling our stories to not only our membership and fanbases, but also an ever-growing and engaged virtual audience,” Wistrcill said. “Meghan brings a wealth and breadth of experience to this role, and we are confident that the exposure we have garnered specifically in this space over the past five years will be elevated thanks to her talents and efforts.”

Big Sky fans will see Robinson at all major league events and championships, starting with the 2024 Football Kickoff and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Spokane, Washington. She will also be the primary host of Big Sky Courtside in Boise, Idaho during the course of the Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships. On a week-to-week basis, those that follow the Big Sky on social media can expect to see her conduct interviews with Player of the Week winners and produce content to keep fans up to date on all things related to the Big Sky.

Robinson joins the Big Sky staff from Oklahoma State University, where she served in several roles telling the story of both the athletic department and campus as a whole.

Working for Inside OSU as a multimedia reporter and producer, Robinson edited features highlighting the research, arts, athletics, and academics at Oklahoma State. She also helped relaunch Inside OSU Podcast, which saw a massive increase in downloads per episode over a six-month period.

Additionally, she launched the Bleav in OKState podcast on Bleav Podcast Network, on which she hosted weekly podcasts focused on Oklahoma State athletics. Additionally, as a reporter for OSU Max, she hosted live pregame coverage from the Big 12 Championship game, interviewed athletes and coaches for the Pokes Pod, and hosted a live show from Cowboy Football Media Day.

“I am incredibly excited for this opportunity with the Big Sky Conference,” Robinson said. “As a former college athlete, collegiate sports are my passion. I cannot wait to help tell the stories of the amazing athletes and schools of the Big Sky. I'm looking forward to helping elevate the content and expand the Big Sky brand's reach.”

Prior to her time at Oklahoma State, Robinson spent 10 years as an Associate Producer at ESPN, where her work was recognized with four Emmy awards. In this role, she pitched, wrote, and produced features for College Gameday, Sunday NFL Countdown and SportsCenter, and served as a reporter for a myriad of sports.

A native of Erdenheim, Pennsylvania, Robinson graduated from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism. She also played lacrosse for Emerson College.

She joins a strong line of women to hold this position that Wistrcill created early in his tenure as Big Sky commissioner. Robinson takes over for Alex Eschelman, now a Sports Reporter for KTNV Channel 13 News in Las Vegas, who stepped into the role after Mariluz Cook, who is now the TV Reporter and Host for the San Diego Padres.
