“Damian’s Diary” will chronicle the life of Lillard as he recovers from a foot injury that limited the reigning Big Sky MVP to just nine games this season. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound junior from Oakland, Calif., averaged 19.7 points per game prior to his injury.
Viewers will see many aspects of Lillard’s life, from rehabilitation, to workouts, to his thoughts on his team, as well as his life away from the court. Each “webisode” will run between four and five minutes and will be available through the Big Sky's YouTube channel.
Lillard has been supplied a video camera to document his life as a student-athlete. Staff at the Big Sky Conference will produce the features. The project has the support of the Weber State athletic department, as well as Wildcat coach Randy Rahe.
“We think fans will enjoy the opportunity to glimpse into the life of one of the premier mid-major college basketball players in the country,’’ said Big Sky Conference Assistant Commissioner Jon Kasper. “Damian was excited about the project from the moment we approached him with the idea. We hope to expand these types of project with other student-athletes across the conference in future years.’’
The Big Sky would like to thank Young Scolla and Fab5Entertainment for making "Built For It" available for this project. You can download the song by clicking the image below.
