FARMINGTON, Utah (May 11, 2026) – Big Sky Softball tournament champions Idaho State will square off against 4th-seeded Oregon in the Eugene Regional of the NCAA Tournament on Friday. Idaho State will be one of five teams in the 64-team tournament field making their NCAA tournament debut.
First pitch is set for Friday, May 15th at 8:00 pm MT on ESPNU. Mississippi State and St. Mary's complete the Eugene regional field. The regional will follow a double-elimination format. The full schedule of the Eugene regional can be found below.
Idaho State earned the Big Sky’s automatic bid after three consecutive run-rule victories in the Big Sky tournament last week.
The team was led by Tournament MVP, Ava Brown on the road to the title. Fellow Bengals Camryn McDonald, Kira Day, Jenna Kearns, Jaden Moore and Marley Goluskin also earned All-Tournament recognition.

Weber State is the lone Big Sky softball team to record a win in the NCAA tournament. Most recently, the Wildcats defeated Binghamton in the Eugene regional a season ago. They also picked up a tournament win in 2019 against Cal State Fullerton in the Los Angeles regional hosted by UCLA.
