Weekly Honors Announced for October 27-30

FARMINGTON, Utah (Oct. 27, 2025) – The Big Sky Conference announced its Player of the Week honors, presented by JAMBAR, with soccer, football, volleyball, women's golf and men's golf all in full swing.

Big Sky Football Players of the Week (Oct. 27, 2025)

Offensive Player of the Week: Michael Wortham, Montana (WR/RB/KR, R-Sr., North Highlands, Calif.)
Michael Wortham did it all for Montana this past Friday night, with a hat trick of touchdowns and 238 all-purpose yards in the 49-35 win at Sacramento State. Wortham led the Griz in rushing, receiving, and combined returns as college football’s leader in all-purpose yards made it a homecoming to remember in his hometown of Sacramento. All told he rushed for a game-high 89 yards and two touchdowns, caught five passes for 80 yards and another touchdown, and returned two kickoffs for 69 yards including a long of 44 yards. Wortham leads the FCS this season with 178.8 all-purpose yards per game. 

Defensive Player of the Week: Peyton Wing, Montana (LB, Jr., Summer, Wash.)
Peyton Wing tied the Big Sky single-game high this season with three sacks in Montana’s 49-35 win at Sacramento State on Friday. With six total tackles (four solo), as half of his stops were sacks on the night. He was a leader in a Grizzly defense that shut down the Hornet run game, with Sac State totaling just 141 yards on the ground – nearly 100 less than their season average. Of his three sacks, one forced a turnover on downs late in the third quarter. 

Co-Special Teams Player of the Week: Landon Ogles, Eastern Washington (P, Sr., San Diego, Calif.)
Eastern Washington’s Landon Ogles recorded a career-best 10 punts in the 23-20 win at Weber State for 445 yards, averaging 44.5 yards per punt. Ogles placed 5 of his 10 punts inside the 20-yard line, matching his career-best. The senior punter also boomed three attempts over 50 yards on the day. This season, Ogles leads the Big Sky with 19 punts inside the 20-yard line. His 13 punts of 50-plus yards also ranks second in the conference. Overall, Ogles averages 40.4 yards per punt.

Co-Special Teams Player of the Week: Ty Morrison, Montana (K/P, Sr., San Valencia, Calif.)
Montana’s Ty Morrison Ty Morrison had the usual solid day with his foot a Sacramento State, going 7-for-7 on PATs, to stay perfect on the year, totaling 429 yards on seven kickoffs with four touchbacks, and logging 112 yards on 3 punts. It was what he did with his arm that was special, however. Morrison helped put the nail in Sac State’s coffin early in the fourth quarter when he completed a 28-yard pass to Ian Finch on a 4th and 9 to convert a huge fourth down for the Griz that led directly to a Michael Wortham touchdown one play later.

Big Sky Volleyball Players of the Week (Oct. 27, 2025)

Offensive Player of the Week: Alivia Eikenberg, Portland State (OH, Fr., Lone Tree, Colo.)
Alivia Eikenberg posted the most kills by a Viking since 2010 with a career-high 28 on a career-best .380 hitting Thursday in the Vikings’ 3-1 win over Eastern Washington. She then like the Vikings to a reverse sweep of Idaho Saturday, the Vikings’ first comeback from 0-2 down since 2013. She mirrored the Vikings’ comeback in the match. Eikenberg recorded 14 of her match-high 17 kills over the final three sets while hitting .242 over that stretch. 

Eikenberg added 13 digs to her 17 kills against the Vandals, giving the freshman her ninth straight double-double and 13th of the season.  Eikenberg is also on pace for freshman records for kills (3.70) and points (4.12) per set this season, averages that rank her third in the conference in both categories. Eikenberg’s strong showings against the Eagles and Vandals mean she averaged 5.00 kills per set on .243 hitting last week while adding 3.22 digs per set.

Defensive Player of the Week: Lauren Lindseth, Montana State (L, Sr., Great Falls, Wash.)
Lauren Lindseth had another strong defensive weekend for the Bobcats totaling 39 digs, and averaging 5.57 per set. In MSU's win over Weber State, the product of Great Falls, Mont., posted a match-high 22 digs. She followed that performance with a team-best 17 digs against Idaho State. She was targeted 23 times- 3.29 per set- in serve-receive over the weekend, committing just one reception error.

Big Sky Soccer Players of the Week (Oct. 28, 2025)

Co-Offensive Player of the Week: Delani Walker, Eastern Washington (F, Sr., Missoula, Mont.)
Walker shined this week for the Eagles, pushing them into the Big Sky Tournament. She recorded three assists In the 4-0 win over NAU and both goals int he 2-0 win over UNC securing seven points in two games. 

Co-Offensive Player of the Week: Grace Kirby, Weber State (F, Sr., Ogden, UT.)
?Grace Kirby recorded the first hat tirck for Weber State since 2022 in Sunday's victory over Idaho State. The win led to the Wildcats clinching the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Big Sky Tournament. 

Kirby now has seven goals on the season, four of those coming in conference play. She also has five assists this year, combining for 19 points, which is third in the Big Sky.

Defensive Player of the Week: Kamryn Willoughby, Eastern Washington (GK, Sr., Lidon, UT.)
