FARMINGTON, Utah (June 21, 2024) – With a third place finish at U.S. Olympic Team Trials and a time of 27:52.40, Northern Arizona’s Nico Young qualified for the 2024 Paris Games in the men’s 10,000-meter on Friday evening at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Young finished behind only Grant Fisher and Woody Kincaid to secure his first trip to the Olympic Games. The three-time NCAA team cross country national champion and two-time NCAA indoor individual national champion’s season will continue into Paris after breaking the collegiate record in the event this past March.
The Olympic Men’s 10,000-Meter Final will take place on Friday, August 2, 2024.
