Big Sky Releases 2023 Fall All-Academic Team

In total, 656 student-athletes were honored along with 101 earning 4.0 GPA’s

FARMINGTON, Utah (Feb. 21, 2024) – The Big Sky Conference office has released its 2023 Fall All-Academic Team, honoring over 650 student-athletes across its 10 full-time member institutions and two affiliate football programs for their scholastic efforts.

“Each All-Academic Team we announce at the Big Sky Conference serves as a great reminder of the strong emphasis our institutions place on excelling in the classroom, in addition to the field of competition,” Big Sky Conference Commissioner Tom Wistrcill said. “Seeing over 650 honorees on this fall list, with 100-plus of them earning 4.0s, fills me with a true sense of joy and I want to congratulate each and every one of them for their efforts.”
 
In total, 656 student-athletes were honored along with 101 earning 4.0 GPA’s.
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team’s competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution. 
 
For cross country student-athletes, they must have participated in at least half of the team’s competitions or competed at the conference championship.
