SACRAMENTO, California (Nov. 28, 2024) – Thanksgiving was full of celebrations at the Nest, as Northern Colorado and Sacramento State advanced to the 2024 Big Sky Volleyball Championship Final on Friday.
Top-seeded Northern Coloado survived its second consecutive five-set thriller against defending tournament champion Weber State, while No. 3 seeded Sacramento State took down No. 2 seeded Idaho State in the first sweep of the tournament.
The championship final appearance for Sacramento State is its first since 2017, while Northern Colorado has appeared in the title match five out of the last six seasons.
Northern Colorado and Sacramento State will face off on Friday at 7:00 p.m. PT, with the winner earning the Big Sky's automatic bid to the NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
