FARMINGTON, Utah (Oct. 30, 2024) – The tournament field for the 2024 Big Sky Conference Soccer Championship, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana, is officially set, with five matches on deck to decide who will represent the league at the NCAA Tournament in November.

With a victory over Weber State on Sunday, Montana secured the regular-season crown for the second consecutive year and the No. 1 seed in the Big Sky Championship. Montana also secured hosting rights for the 2025 Big Sky Soccer Championship, with the regular-season title.
Action will start on Wednesday, Nov. 6 when No. 3 Eastern Washington takes on No. 6 Portland State, followed by No. 4 Northern Arizona going head-to-head with No. 5 Sacramento State.

#1 Seed – Montana (20 Points)
#2 Seed – Idaho (16 Points)

Team By Team Breakdown
1. Montana (12-2-4, 6-0-2 BSC)
Montana owns a 13-match unbeaten streak heading into next week's tournament, as the top-seeded Grizzlies won their second consecutive regular-season title. Jen Estes leads Montana on offense after contributing 18 points on the year by the way of seven goals and four assists. The Montana defense has been led by goalkeeper Bayliss Flynn who has logged 10 shutouts in 13 games this season. With the No. 1 seed this year, the Grizzlies also clinched hosting rights for next year's conference tournament in Missoula.
2. Idaho (11-5-2, 5-2-1 BSC)
Idaho locked up the No. 2 seed for next week, and look to defend their tournament title from 2023. Alyssa Peters has powered the Vandals both offensivley and defensively, leading the team with 17 points. The graduate student holds the all-time assist record with 32 in her career after recording 13 this past season.
3. Eastern Washington (9-5-4, 4-1-3 BSC)
Eastern Washington will be the No. 3 seed, after missing the tournament a season ago. Chloe Pattison leads the squad with 11 goals and three assists to give her a league-leading 25 points, while Kamryn Willoughby has logged 74 saves and a .771 save percentage between the posts.
4. Northern Arizona (4-7-4, 4-3-1 BSC)
Northern Arizona closed out the regular season strong with two wins on the road to secure the No. 4 seed in Missoula. Haylee Phoenix has paced the Lumberjack attack this season, scoring five goals, all coming in conference play. Trinity Corcoran has been a strong defensive force in goal for the 'Jacks recording a .837 save percentage with 87 saves.
5. Sacramento State (5-6-6, 3-2-3 BSC)
Sacramento State is on a six-game unbeaten streak heading into Missoula, good enough to secure a No. 5 seed. Abigail Lopez has scored four goals and tallied three assists, leading the team in both categories. Three-time Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week, Izzy Palmatier, has led the Hornets in goal this season with a .790 save percentage and 79 saves.
6. Portland State (4-8-4, 2-3-3 BSC)
Portland State clinched the final spot for next week as the Vikings will be the No. 6 seed in Missoula. Elle Frazier leads the squad with five goals so far this season, while Eden Millan has been impressive between the posts once again after earning 67 saves, four shutouts and an .848 save percentage for 2023.
