Ogele Named Big Sky Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Rhema Ogele Earns Big Sky Women's Basketball Weekly Honors

FARMINGTON, Utah (Dec. 5, 2023) – One month of women's basketball season is in the books as non-conference play rolls on; the Big Sky Conference office has announced its fourth round of weekly women's basketball honors.
 
Player of the Week: Rhema Ogele (Portland State)
Portland State's Rhema Ogele earned the fourth Player of the Week honor of the season, after posting a double-double in the Viking's victory over Fresno State. 

Ogele shot 62% from the field as she recorded 19 points along with a game-high 10 boards. The Junior also dished out three assists and went 3-5 from the free throw line. 
 
For the season, Ogele now has two double-doubles in her four appearances while posting career-best averages with 14.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. She’s also shooting a career-best 64.1 percent from the floor through four games this season.
