FARMINGTON, Utah (Nov. 21, 2023) – The opening week of women's basketball season is in the books and the Big Sky Conference office has announced its first round of weekly women's basketball honors.
Player of the Week: Delaynie Byrne (Northern Colorado)
Northern Colorado's Delaynie Byrne earned the second Player of the Week honor of the season, after posting 31 points over two road contests against South Dakota and Omaha.
Byrne recorded her first double-double of the season against South Dakota scoring 15 points with 12 rebounds. The Colorado native followed up that performance with 16 points and another 5 boards in the Bear's victory over Omaha.
The Bear went 3-4 from the free throw line.
