Eastern Washington Claims First Women's Basketball Weekly Honor

Aaliyah Alexander Named Big Sky Women's Player of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah (Nov. 14, 2023) – The opening week of women's basketball season is in the books and the Big Sky Conference office has announced its first round of weekly women's basketball honors.
 
Player of the Week: Aaliyah Alexander (Eastern Washington)
Eastern Washington's Aaliyah Alexander earned the first Player of the Week honor of the season, after posting 45 points over two road wins through the opening week of basketball season. 

Alexander recorded a double-double on opening night against Southern Utah scoring 27 points with 11 rebounds. The Washington native also contributed four assists, three steaks and a block shot through the first two games. 
 
The Eagle went 11-13 from the free throw line.
