FARMINGTON, Utah (June 1, 2022) -- Best-selling author and millennial expert Dr. Tim Elmore will serve as the keynote speaker at the 2022 Big Sky Conference Health & Wellness Symposium, Commissioner Tom Wistrcill announced today.
The Big Sky’s Health and Wellness Symposium, held annually in conjunction with the league’s annual Spring Meetings, provides resources to support and improve the experience of student-athletes, coaches, and administrators. Attendees to the symposium include member institutions’ presidents, athletic directors, senior woman administrators, faculty athletic representatives, student-athletes, coaches, mental health professionals, university faculty and staff, and the general public.
This year’s event will be held on the campus of Northern Colorado, and the Health & Wellness Symposium specifically will take place in the Campus Commons Performance Hall. The symposium will run from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7.
Elmore, who has written more than 35 books and was listed among the top 100 leadership speakers in America by Inc. magazine, will speak on how to work and interact best with Generation Z students. The presentation, titled “Understanding and Empowering the Next Generation of Dynamic Leaders,” will focus on identifying strategies that will enhance the capabilities of current students. Dr. Elmore also will discuss some of his recent research regarding the mental wellness of Generation Z.
Now in its seventh year, the Health and Wellness Symposium is in its seventh year of existence and the Big Sky continually looks for dynamic and innovative presenters to share their expertise in improving the lives and experiences of all student-athletes.
