FARMINGTON, Utah (Nov. 16, 2022) - As the basketball season unfolds, Big Sky Conference teams continue to face off against tough non-conference opponents. Below are news and notes from around the league as we enter Week 2 of the basketball season.

Eastern Washington’s Jaydia Martin Chosen for Co-Player of the Week
Eastern Washington’s Jaydia Martin was named Co-Player of the Week after her outstanding performance this past week for the Eagles. Martin led the team in scoring with 16.7 points per game and finished the week with an overall total of 50 points. The sophomore also recorded eight steals, seven assists and nine rebounds in three games this past week.
Montana State’s Darian White Selected for Co-Player of the Week
Montana State’s Darian White was named Co-Player of the Week after she helped the Bobcats take down Providence (MT) and BYU. For the two games, White shot 58.8% (10-17) from the field and converted 7-of-11 free throws.
Northern Colorado Tops the Conference in Assists
Northern Colorado currently leads the league in total assists and assist average per game. In three games, the Bears have tallied 50 assists, averaging 16.67 assists per game.
Sacramento State’s Isnelle Natabou Leads League in Rebounds
Sacramento State’s Isnelle Natabou currently tops the conference in rebounds. Natabou has recorded 27 assists in two games, averaging 13.5 rebounds per game.
Portland State Tops the Conference in Free Throws
Portland State currently leads the league in free throws. In two games, the Vikings have tallied 19 free throws on 26 attempts, giving them a free throw percentage of .731.
