FARMINGTON, Utah (Oct. 27, 2022) - Less than a week remains before action gets underway in Greeley, Colorado for the 2022 Big Sky Soccer Championship, hosted by the University of Northern Colorado.

The first round will be played on Wednesday, Nov. 2 with No. 3 Portland State taking on No. 6 Montana in the first match from Greeley at 11:00 a.m. MT. Wednesday's second contest will begin at 2:00 p.m. MT with No. 4 Sacramento State taking on No. 5 Weber State.
In Friday's semifinal, No. 2 Idaho will play the winner of Portland State-Montana at 11:00 a.m. MT, while No. 1 Northern Arizona takes on the winner of Sacramento State-Weber State at 2:00 p.m. MT.
Sunday's championship match will feature the winners of both semifinal contests, with first kick slated for 12:00 p.m. MT that day. The winner of the championship will receive the Big Sky's automatic berth to the 2022 NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament.

1. Northern Arizona (8-5-4, 7-1 BSC)
Northern Arizona owns a seven-match win streak heading into next week's tournament, as the top-seeded Lumberjacks won their first Big Sky Soccer regular-season crown since 2010. Maddie Shafer leads NAU on offense after scoring 16 points on the year by the way of five goals and six assists. The Lumberjack defense has been led by goalkeeper Trinity Corcoran, who has logged eight shutouts, 43 saves and a league-high .878 save percentage. With the No. 1 seed this year, the Lumberjacks also clinched hosting rights for next year's conference tournament in Flagstaff.
2. Idaho (11-3-2, 6-2 BSC)
Idaho locked up the No. 2 seed for next week, after the Vandals won two of their last three matches on the year. Freshman goalkeeper Kira Witte tied the Big Sky's single-season shutout record with 11 clean sheets this past season, while logging 60 saves and an .833 save percentage.
3. Portland State (5-7-5, 4-2-2 BSC)
Portland State will be the No. 3 seed, with the Vikings earning their first conference tournament appearance since 2019. Abi Hoffman leads the squad with five goals and an assist to give her 11 points on the year, while Sidney O'billovich has logged 47 saves and a .770 save percentage between the posts.
4. Sacramento State (4-9-4, 4-3-1 BSC)
Sacramento State came on strong to finish the year, as the Hornets earned a result in five of their last seven matches to secure the No. 4 seed in Greeley. Aubrey Goodwill has paced the Hornet offensive attack this season, scoring four goals and adding three assists to lead the team in both categories.
5. Weber State (5-11, 4-4 BSC)
Weber State won its last three contests on the year to clinch a spot in the conference tournament and earn the No. 5 seed in Greeley. Morgan Furmaniak, the 2021 Big Sky Newcomer of the Year, has scored five goals on the year with four of those coming during Weber State's current three-match win streak.
6. Montana (6-6-6, 3-4-1 BSC)
Montana, who won the 2021 tournament title last year, clinched the final spot for next week as the Griz will be the No. 6 seed in Greeley. Delaney Lou Schorr leads the league with seven goals so far this season, while Camellia Xu has been impressive between the posts once again after earning 65 saves, seven shutouts and an .802 save percentage for 2022.
