Foster and Xu Win #BigSkySoccer Player of the Week Honors

Foster was awarded Offensive Player of the Week honors after a game winning goal, while Xu earned Defensive Player of the Week after her fourth shutout in Montana’s last five matches.

FARMINGTON, Utah (Sept. 21, 2021) – With the last weekend before league play starts in the books, Idaho’s Savannah Foster and Montana’s Camellia Xu were named the Big Sky Soccer Players of the Week. 
 
Foster was awarded Offensive Player of the Week honors after a game-winning goal, while Xu earned Defensive Player of the Week after her fourth shutout in Montana’s last five matches. 

Offensive POW
Foster scored a game-winner in the 109th minute to push Idaho to a 3-0 double overtime win against St. Thomas. It was her second goal of the game and her third goal of non-conference play.      

Defensive POW 
Xu made six saves while facing 26 shots as Montana won 1-0 against Long Beach State. It was Xu’s fourth shutout in Montana’s last five matches. This is Xu’s second Big Sky Soccer Player of the Week award this season.
