FARMINGTON, Utah (Sept. 14, 2021) – Montana’s Taylor Stoeger and Taylor Hansen were named the Big Sky Soccer Players of the Week, after their excellent performances over the weekend.
Stoeger won Offensive Player of the Week honors after a pair of goals, while Hansen earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades following two shutouts for the Griz.
Offensive POW
Stoeger scored twice, her first two goals of the season, as Montana defeated Texas Southern 6-0 on Friday afternoon in Missoula. Stoeger took seven shots over two matches as the Grizzlies completed a sweep of their home stand with a 1-0 victory over Boise State on Sunday.
Defensive POW
Hansen was part of a back line that posted a pair of shutouts, the Grizzlies also allowed just 12 shots over the weekend on defense. Hansen totaled four points in Friday’s win over the Texas Southern as well, after assisting on both of Stoeger’s goals, then added her own in the 37th minute.
