FARMINGTON, Utah (Aug. 31, 2021) - Montana's Jaden Griggs and Camellia Xu were named the Big Sky Soccer Players of the Week, after their excellent performances over the weekend.
Griggs was named the Offensive Player of the Week after her hat trick, while Xu earned the Defensive Player of the Week honors following a five-save weekend.
Offensive POW
Griggs scored three times in Montana's 4-0 home win over MSU Billings on Sunday. It was the seventh hat trick in program history and the first for Montana since 2011. Griggs scores three goals on five shots in 54 minutes.
Defensive POW
Xu collected her first career shutout this past Sunday, making three saves in Montana's 4-0 home win over MSU Billings. Xu took the loss on Thursday 2-1 setback at Cal Poly but earned a pair of saves.
