A Trio of #BigSkyFB Teams Ranked in Top 15 of AFCA Coaches’ Poll
FARMINGTON, Utah (April 6, 2021) – With the latest AFCA Coaches’ Poll being released on Tuesday, the Big Sky Conference has three teams listed in the Top 25 poll once again.
Weber State (4-0) registered a 19-16 victory over in-state foe Southern Utah to remain undefeated on the season. The Wildcats received one first-place vote and 534 points to maintain its No. 2 position in the poll. Weber State will host Idaho State on Saturday in its home finale. The Wildcats defeated Idaho State, 49-21, to open spring play.
Eastern Washington’s 32-22 victory at UC Davis made it four consecutive wins for the Eagles. With a 4-1 record, Eastern Washington earned 401 points to stay put at No. 9 in the Top 25 poll. The Eagles welcome Idaho on Saturday. Eastern Washington fell to the Vandals earlier this season, 28-21, its only loss on the season.
UC Davis (3-2) suffered a 10-point loss to Eastern Washington in a tough game at home last week. The Aggies received 204 points to earn the No. 15 spot in this week’s poll.
Idaho (2-2) received 14 points in the poll after a 24-22 loss to Idaho State.
