FARMINGTON, Utah (February 24, 2021) – The 2021 Big Sky Men’s and Women’s Winter Cross Country Championships are scheduled for Saturday, February 27 in Riverdale, Utah. No spectators will be permitted.
The Schedule
11:45 a.m. MT Course is open for competitors to warm up
1:00 p.m. MT National Anthem
1:05 p.m. MT Women’s competitors must report to assigned boxes
1:15 p.m. MT Women’s 5k Championship Race
1:50 p.m. MT Men’s competitors must report to assigned boxes
2:00 p.m. MT Men’s 8k Championship Race
3:00 p.m. MT Awards Ceremony
Championship Facts
- Northern Arizona’s Drew Bosley is the reigning Big Sky champion. He won last year’s race in a time of 26:50.8 as a freshman. He will be back in action on Saturday to defend his title.
- A men’s runner has won back-to-back individual crowns eight times in conference history. The last time was 2009-2010 when Northern Arizona’s David McNeill went back-to-back. McNeill is also the last to win three straight, which he did so from 2009 to 2011.
- The Lumberjack men, the No. 2 team in the nation, have won the last four Big Sky championships and lead the way in the conference with 29 total.
- Montana State’s Camila Noe will defend her Big Sky crown on Saturday. The sophomore won rookie of the year honors last season as she blew past the field to win it all in 17:41.3.
- There has been a repeat champion on the women’s side seven times. The last runner to achieve the feat was Weber State’s Amber Henry in 2011 and 2012.
- The Lumberjack women are the defending Big Sky champions and ranked No. 16 in the nation. NAU has won three out of the last four Big Sky titles and a total of 21 to lead the conference.

- The 2021 Big Sky Cross Country Winter Championships will be held on Saturday, February 27 at the Riverside Golf Course in Riverdale, Utah. No spectators will be allowed.
