Idaho’s Gabi Harrington Named #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week
FARMINGTON, Utah (February 15, 2021) – Idaho guard Gabi Harrington has been named the #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week for her performance in the Vandals’ series with Idaho State last week.
Harrington averaged 23.5 points, 11 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 assists per game in a series split against the Bengals. On the weekend, she shot 47 percent from the floor (16-of-34) and 38 percent from three-point range (8-of-21), averaging 4.0 three-pointers made per game.
The graduate transfer totaled a career-high 25 points and had 12 rebounds in a 73-56 victory over the Bengals on Saturday afternoon. In the win, she was 5-of-7 from the free-throw line. She also shot 57 percent from the floor (8-of-14) and 44 percent from three (4-of-9).
In game one, she finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, marking two consecutive 20+-point double-doubles. Harrington recorded back-to-back double-doubles for her second and third time this season.
This is the third time this season a member of the Idaho women’s basketball team has earned this honor.
