Sacramento State's Summer Menke Named #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week
FARMINGTON, Utah (February 1, 2021) -- Sacramento State junior Summer Menke has been named the #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week for her performance in two games last week against Eastern Washington.
Menke collected back-to-back double-doubles in a weekend split with the Eagles. She averaged 19.0 points and 10.5 rebounds in two games and shot 50 percent overall (14-of-28) and 33.3% from three-point range (3-of-9). Also, Menke had seven steals, two blocks, and five assists.
In the Hornets' first game of the week, Menke scored 18 points with 10 rebounds in Thursday's win over the Eagles. She followed that up with 20 points and 11 rebounds performance in Saturday's game. She did a little bit of everything on Saturday, collecting a season-high six steals and adding a team-leading three assists.
For the year, Menke has six double-doubles, including one in each of the last three games. She is averaging 14.6 points and 8.0 rebounds a game.
