UNC's Alisha Davis Named #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week
FARMINTON, Utah (January 4, 2021) – Northern Colorado sophomore forward Alisha Davis has been named the #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week for her performance this past week in two games.
Davis averaged 15.5 points, 13 rebounds, five blocks, and two steals per game this week in the Bears series against Montana.
The Aurora, Colorado native recorded her fifth and sixth double-doubles of the season.
In the Bears' first game against Montana on Friday, Davis had 10 points and 12 rebounds while adding four block shots in the 60-56 loss to the Lady Griz.
Davis and the Bears bounced back on Sunday as she dominated the paint with 14 rebounds and a career-high six blocked shots. She also recorded 21 points in the 77-76 overtime victory.
Davis is currently fourth this season in the conference with an average of 15.7 points per game, second in rebounds with 10.9 per game, and first in blocked shots with 2.7 per game.
This is the first time this season that Davis has won this award.
