UNC's Alisha Davis Named #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah (January 25, 2021) – Northern Colorado sophomore forward Alisha Davis has been named the #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week for her performance this past week in the Bears' two-game series with Eastern Washington.

Davis averaged 21.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 2.5 steals, and an assist against the Eagles.  She also shot an impressive 63 percent from the field, going 15-of-24.

In the first game of the series on Thursday, Davis recorded her eighth double-double of the season with a 21 point and 15 rebound performance while going 6-of-12 from the field. 

Davis netted 22 points in Saturday's contest and pulled in six rebounds while registering three steals and three blocks.  Davis shot 9-of-12 from the field for a 75 percent shooting percentage. 

The sophomore forward currently ranks at the top of the conference in rebounds and blocks and now has the most double-doubles of any Big Sky women's basketball player this season.

This is the second time this season and the third time in her career that Davis has earned player of the week honors.
