MSU's Bishop Garners Second #BigSkyMBB Weekly Accolade

FARMINGTON, Utah (January 11, 2021) – Montana State senior guard Xavier Bishop has been named the Big Sky Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this season after two strong performances in the team’s first conference games.
 
Bishop helped lead the Bobcats to a road sweep over Northern Colorado last week. Across two games in Greeley, he averaged 25 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists and shot 63.3 percent from the field, 45.5 percent from three-point range, and 87.5 percent from the free throw line.
 
In the 79-67 win on Thursday, Bishop tied his career high in scoring with 28 points and recorded season highs in rebounding and assists with seven boards and five assists.
 
Montana State was guided to a narrow 76-74 overtime victory on Saturday by Bishop’s 22 points, four rebounds, three steals, and two assists.
 
The conference sweep over Northern Colorado gives Montana State a 2-0 record in league play.
