Big Sky Leads Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team with 22 Nods
FARMINGTON, Utah (September 2, 2020) – Stats Perform released its 2020 FCS Preseason All-America Team on Wednesday, as the Big Sky led all conferences with 22 honorees.
The Big Sky is coming off a record-breaking season in which it had four teams earn a top seed and a first-round bye in the 2019 playoffs.
The Big Sky had seven players named to the Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America First Team. Weber State running back Josh Davis, Montana wide receiver Samori Toure and Wildcat offensive lineman Ty Whitworth earned offensive nods. Montana linebacker Jace Lewis and Portland State defensive back Anthony Adams picked up defensive accolades, while Northern Arizona placekicker Luis Aguilar and Montana long snapper Matthew O’Donoghue received special teams honors.
Montana and Weber State led the way for the Big Sky with five honorees each. Northern Arizona had three, while Idaho, Montana State, and Sacramento State each had two. Eastern Washington, Portland State, and UC Davis had one apiece.
