2020 Big Sky Football Preseason All-Conference Team Released
FARMINGTON, Utah (July 24, 2020) –
The preseason favorite Weber State Wildcats placed a league-high eight players on the 33-member 2020 Big Sky Conference Football Preseason All-Conference Team.
Montana and Sacramento State each placed six players on the preseason all-conference team, followed by UC Davis with three and two apiece for the remaining five teams. In total, nine Big Sky teams were represented.
A trio of players were unanimous decisions to the preseason all-conference team. The offensive line sported two of the unanimous picks, as Lewis Kidd of Montana State and Ty Whitworth of Weber State earned the accolades. Both linemen are members of 2019 Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Playoff teams that finished last season ranked in the top-four of the FCS polls. On defense, it was Portland State’s Anthony Adams, the Big Sky single-season record holder in passes defended, that wrapped up the unanimous vote-getters this preseason.
Of the 33-member preseason all-conference team, 15 players earned 2019 Big Sky Football First Team All-Conference honors.
Joining Whitworth and Adams on the list are Montana wide receiver Samori Toure, Sacramento State wide receiver Pierre Williams, Weber State running back Josh Davis, Sacramento State running back Elijah Dotson, Weber State fullback Clay Moss, Northern Arizona kicker Luis Aguilar, Weber State defensive tackle Jared Schiess, Idaho outside linebacker Christian Elliss, Montana inside linebacker Jace Lewis, Sacramento State defensive back Daron Bland, UC Davis defensive back Devon King, Northern Arizona punter DJ Arnson, and Portland State special teams player Emmanuel Daigbe.
Preseason honors were determined by select media members from each league institution, in addition to at-large representatives.
