2020 Big Sky Winter All-Academic Teams
FARMINGTON, Utah (April 7, 2020) - The Big Sky Conference recognized the members of the 2020 Winter All-Academic teams for men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s indoor track & field. The winter campaign was filled with shining stars academically and athletically.
The league had a total of 490 student-athletes recognized for the winter season, the third-most in league history. It was the sixth straight year with 400 or more honorees and the fourth consecutive with 475 or more honorees. There were 346 student-athletes that registered a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, while 40 student-athletes recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA. Men’s basketball continued its upward trend setting a new high of 39 student-athletes earning all-academic accolades.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team’s competitions and/or track & field student-athletes may be considered if they have competed at the indoor conference championships. 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution.
