Montana State’s Binford Named #BigSkyWBB Coach of the Year
FARMINGTON, Utah (March 9, 2020) – After guiding her team to a historic season and a regular-season championship, Montana State head women’s basketball coach Tricia Binford has been named the #BigSkyWBB Coach of the Year by the conference coaches.
Binford has led Montana State to a regular-season title and a 23-6 overall record and a 19-1 record in conference play. This season is the best record the Bobcats have had in the Big Sky. Their best record was also a one-loss season back in 1992-93.
Binford coached this season’s Most Valuable Player, Fallyn Freije along with the Freshman of the Year, Darian White and the Top Reserve, Tori Martell in addition to second team all-conference performer Oliana Squires.
As the No. 1 overall seed at the 2020 Big Sky Women’s Basketball Championship, the Bobcats’ first game will be Tuesday, March 10 against the winner of the No. 8 Northern Colorado / No. 9 Sacramento State game.
