BOISE, Idaho (March 9, 2020) -- The day has finally arrived for the start of the 2020 Big Sky Women's Basketball Championship. After an exciting regular season teams are gearing up to make their run late into March.
- The 2020 Big Sky Women’s Basketball Championship kicks off Monday, March 9 through Friday, March 13 in Boise, Idaho. The winner of the conference tournament will receive the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
- Montana State cleaned up the postseason awards by claiming six of the four awards. Fallyn Freije was named the leagues MVP along with Tori Martell as the top reserve and Darian White as the freshman of the year. Head Coach Tricia Binford was also named the Big Sky Coach of the Year.
- Three Bobcat players received all-conference honors. Freije was a first-team all-conference selection along with Oliana Squires who was named to the second team. Darian White received honorable mention honors.
- Southern Utah’s Rebecca Cardenas was named the defensive player of the year and was also a first-team all-conference selection.
- Northern Arizona’s Nina Radford was named the newcomer of the year.
