Sacramento State’s Diaz Named Big Sky Men’s Golfer of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah (March 4, 2020) – Sacramento State’s Josh Diaz has been named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Golf Player of the Week, announced today by the league office.

Diaz, a senior for the Hornets, had the highest overall finish for the team at the Sacramento State Invitational in Elk Grove, Calif. Diaz finished in a tie for ninth place with a 7-over score of 223 (73-77-73). He shot 8 birdies over the course of the tournament and eagled the par-5 eighth hole in the final round.

It is the first weekly honor of Diaz’s career.

Next up for Sacramento State is the Snowbird Invitational from Mar. 20-21 in Goodyear, Ariz.
