Sacramento State’s Blair Tabbed Big Sky Women’s Golfer of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah (March 4, 2020) – Sacramento State’s Tess Blair has been named the Big Sky Conference Women’s Golf Player of the Week, announced today by the league office.

Blair, a freshman for the Hornets, placed third at the Gunrock Invitational in Sacramento, Calif. to earn her fourth consecutive top-10 finish. She earned a victory in Hawaii to end the fall season and opened the spring season with a tie for fourth place at the UCF Challenge and a tie for seventh place at The Gold Rush. Blair was 1-under par on the final day of the tournament with 17 pars and a birdie on the par-4 ninth hole. Blair’s 3-over score of 219 (74-74-71) left her four strokes off the lead.

It is the third weekly honor for Blair this season.

Next up for Sacramento State is the Hawkeye-El Tigre Invitational from Mar. 19-21 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
