WEEKLY NOTEBOOK (PDF)
FARMINGTON, Utah (March 3, 2020) -- We have reached the final week of the regular season. Teams are fighting for postseason positioning as they set their sights on #BigSkyInBoise
- With just one week to play in the regular season, there is still a lot to play for down the home stretch. With the regular-season title already decided teams are left to play for seeding in the Big Sky tournament and one of the coveted first-round byes.
- Idaho has done what it needed to as they locked up a first-round bye and a top-five seed at next week’s tournament.
- Multiple teams are on the fringe of locking up a bye and win to start the week will almost solidify that for the remaining top three teams in the league standings.
- Northern Colorado’s Alisha Davis was named the Big Sky Ready Nutrition Player of the Week for her performance in two games last week. Davis averaged 19 points, nine rebounds per game last week.
- The Big Sky Basketball Championships will get underway next week in Boise, Idaho on March 9th. The winner of the tournament will receive the Big Sky’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
- Northern Arizona’s Khiarica Rasheed continues to lead the conference in offensive production in league games this season. Rasheed is averaging 19.0 points per game with the second-best field goal percentage of 5.18 percent.
