FARMINGTON, Utah (February 5, 2020) – Sacramento State’s Tess Blair has been named the Big Sky Conference Women’s Golf Player of the Week, announced today by the league office.

Blair, a freshman for the Hornets, led the team at the UCF Challenge in Orlando, Fla. during the final round with two second consecutive rounds of 69. Blair shot a 6-under score of 210 (72-69-69) with 10 birdies to tie for fourth overall. Her score ranks as the third best 54-hole total in program history and comes after she closed the fall season by setting the school record of 207 in Hawaii. Blair’s total left her trailing three players ranked in the top 100 of Div. I and tied her with 15th-ranked Karoline Stormo of Kent State. Blair finished ahead of 11 other players who are ranked among the top 100, including players ranked seventh and 13th.

It is the second weekly honor for Blair this season.

Next up for Sacramento State is the Gold Rush from Feb. 24-25 in Seal Beach, Calif.
