FARMINGTON, Utah (February 4, 2020)
-- After another exciting weekend of #BigSkyWBB nothing is guaranteed.  Montana State may be at the top of the conference but there are two teams that are hot in pursuit of the top spot.
  • Montana State continues to roll through their conference games.  The Bobcats are now 9-1 in league play and are on a five-game winning streak after picking up a win in their only game this week against in-state rival Montana.
  • Northern Arizona continues to be a surprise as they continue to rise in the conference standings.  The Lumberjacks defeated Idaho over the weekend to move to within a half-game out of second place.  NAU has already matched their conference win total from a season ago.
  • MSU’s Fallyn Freije was named the Big Sky women's basketball player of the week for the first time this season.  She had 27 points and 14 rebounds in the Bobcats win over Montana.  Freije is the preseason MVP in the conference.
  • Montana State has the biggest scoring margin in conference play and is outscoring its opponents by an average of 16 points per game.  The Bobcats have the best offense and the third-best defense in league play.
  • NAU Khiarica Rasheed leads the conference in scoring in conference games this year.  She currently has an average of 19.1 points per game and is averaging almost three more points per game than the second-highest player.
