NAU’s Rasheed Named #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week
FARMINGTON, Utah (February 25, 2020) – Northern Arizona’s Khiarica Rasheed has been named the #BigSkyWBB Ready Nutrition Player of the Week as she helped guide NAU to a pair of wins this past weekend.
Rasheed averaged 23.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in NAU's two victories over Idaho (70-67) and Eastern Washington (63-58) this week. She shot 51.7 percent and went 4-of-5 from behind the arc and 13-of-15 at the line in addition to recording three assists, three steals, and a block.
Rasheed posted her first of two double-double performances on the week on Thursday in the double-overtime victory against Idaho recording 21 points and 11 rebounds. Rasheed then posted a big stat line of 26 points and 12 rebounds versus Eastern Washington on Saturday.
Over the weekend, Rasheed - who became the 18th player to join Northern Arizona's 1,000 point club last week - jumped five spots to No. 14 on the school's all-time scoring list.
This is the second weekly honor for Rasheed this season and the fourth time a player from Northern Arizona has earned this award.
